PRAX Center, Oregon state university campus

This will be a special event for the launch of Feathered Forest: Aloft with Birds in Ancient Trees. The very premise arose from bird and forest studies within the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest. I’m grateful to the scientists who allowed me to tag along, ask questions, and especially to Nina Ferrari for guiding me up my first ever tall tree climb. Matt Betts, principal investigator for longterm ecological research at the Andrews, will introduce me at the event. Nina will give a brief overview of her compelling bird and climate research in three-dimensions.

Thank you to Grass Roots Books, OSU College of Forestry and the Spring Creek Project, and H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest Long-Term Ecological Research Program for cosponsoring my presentation and reading.
