Blue Mountain Audubon Society

From Great Gray Owls flying through dense groves at dusk to White-headed Woodpeckers nesting in immense ponderosa pine snags, the Blue Mountains are haven to birds that thrive in wild forests. Join me in Walla Walla for the Blue Mountains Audubon meeting Wednesday, September 16 at 7 pm in the Olin Auditorium of Whitman College. I will share the wonders of birds entwined with ancient forests offering climate refugia and featured in my new book, Feathered Forest: Aloft with Birds in Ancient Trees. As a board member of the Greater Hells Canyon Council (GHCC), I am an advocate for protecting threatened wildlife, roadless areas, big trees, and wild forests. (See my new advocacy page).

On Thursday, September 18, I will be signing Feathered Forest at Book & Game in Walla Walla from 11 am to 1 pm.
