Hold your tongue
Shhhh… This is the Silent Pool
Alright then. I’ll just admire
the way your eye
Shines obsidian
The way your neck
Swans in a curvaceous arc
And your polished black beak
Shoehorns its way
To the grass at your feet
The way your webbed toes
Flipper into the soft mud and
Sidle up close to my bird feet
For our favorite shuffle
You know, the tail shake
Shhhh….. this is the Silent Pool
Remember the last time
We shook our booties?
All that honky tonk tonk tonk…
